December 19, 1996 - 2 brindle/white and 1 Unknown African |
Comments: Males: Avongara Worth The Wait, JC (Br/W 01), Avongara Imba Tena (Br/W 03) and Avongara Bahati Tena (Saddle tri 02). These were three pups who really enjoyed each other. The black saddle on Bahati Tena (Louie) has become lighter as he has matured but is still visible at almost two. Louie has very square proportions and is topline is good for a full-bred 'African.' Tails are fairly curly. The pups are not terribly sure when meeting new people but come to like them. Rather noisy and demanding dogs. Each of these dogs appears in the next section. At this time they are not yet two years old. All three have been bred from. |
January 9, 1998 - 1 red and white and 1 brindle Unknown African |
Comments: Females: Avongara Twice the Vice (R/W 01) and Avongara Katinda Mimba (Br/W 02). The red and white was very slow to develop. At birth the pups weighed the same but at six weeks the brindle was three pounds heavier and was not fat. The red has continued to develop but at a slower rate than the brindle pup. They were very outgoing and the brindle was particularly forward as puppies. |
