We're looking for few good men (and women)! To the many folks who have posted in recent months, to various air waves, their willingness and desire to volunteer for the BCOA this is for you: 'Put your money where your mouth is!' Like all not for profits, the BCOA is always in need of hardworking, dedicated volunteers to keep us strumming like a well tuned guitar. Are you up to the challenge? "Got Scanner?" Put it to good use and help the BCOA create online archives comparable to none. Mark Twain a distant cousin? Do you dream of putting pen to paper but feeling overshadowed by your cousin's historic success? Don't be! The BCOA is always in the market for stories relating to basenjis. Follow your dream; you'll be glad you did and so will we. Could you sell bottled water to a drowning man? Let's talk! When fellow members want to know what's happening, or want the latest scoop, are you the person they turn to? Turn that chatter into something that matters, become a pup-reporter for the BCOA. Do your photographs make Ansel Adam's work look like Amanda Burley's? Let the BCOA showcase your basenji related pictures to the breed fancy. Was Barbara Walters your nickname in high school? Do you always seem to have pressing questions but no one to ask them of? Let the BCOA help. Do your co-workers call you Peter Walsh behind your back? Are your kennels color coded and symmetrically stacked, with matching dog bowls, similarly laid out? Feeling frustrated no one appreciates such organizational skills? The BCOA will, drop us a line to discuss how best to utilize you. Strive to be a part of the solution; make a positive contribution to the BCOA. Remember, it's YOUR club, you make it what you will. |
