We want to hear your perspective in the BCOA Bulletin

The BCOA Bulletin is starting a new article series called Perspectives  and we need your help to make it a success.  Please go to this link and give us your thoughts on any of the topics presented by April 10th.  You can even suggest future topics for discussion.  From all of the submissions, we will select a diverse range of responses to be printed in the Bulletin with all of the remaining responses available on the BCOA website.  The strength of our club is in the diversity of our membership.  So, let us hear your perspective in the BCOA Bulletin!   If you have any issues with the form, please email Clay Bunyard, wisenji@gmail.com.  


National Specialty Entries close in less than 3 months!  

The 2013 BCOA National Specialty host group is excited to host you all July 12-17th (with EBC Lure and WVBC Conformation events before and after) in a picturesque, one-of-a-kind show site 45 minutes from SeaTac airport.  The publicity brochure describing the show site and all the events, with forms for ordering clothing, catalog ads, sponsoring trophies, and so much more is now available on the 2013 National Specialty Website. While you're there, browse around to read about the diversity of activities as well as all the traditional events planned -- all held on site at Argus Ranch in Auburn, WA.

Is your BCOA-affiliated club planning public education and outreach activities this year?  The BCOA Public Education and Outreach Committee is ready to help you with handout materials for your event!

  • The Ten Most Frequently Asked Questions about Basenjis (printed handout)
  • Nature’s Masterpiece (printed handout)

How do you take advantage of this program? 

Email Lisa Marshall at lisam1918@gmail.com no later than Monday, April 29th, 2013 with the following information:

    • Affiliated Club name and contact information
    • Name, date, and location of your club’s outreach event(s)
    • Which materials you would like from the list above and the quantities needed
    • Tell us if someone from your club will be at the 2013 BCOA national Specialty, July 12-17, 2013 Auburn, Washington

How do you get the materials?

If your event is after the BCOA National Specialty, we can bring your order to the National Specialty for you to pick up.  Otherwise we will make arrangements with you to ship the materials in advance of your event.  Early planning will help the Committee save money on printing.  We are placing a bulk printing order for BCOA magnets and the two handouts on May 1, 2013 to cover our needs for the rest of 2013.  Make sure we have your events covered!
