ELEMENTS

The 2010 Host Group
is pleased to offer an educational exhibition of a new dimension
– ELEMENTS.Join us on Wednesday, September 1st, 2010 for
something new & exciting. This is a competitive study of the
individual components of the breed standard that make up the
Complete Basenji.
Elements will offer classes divided by the
Standard:
• Size, Proportion, and Substance
• Head
• Neck, Topline, and Body
• Forequarters
• Hindquarters
• Coat and Color
• Gait
Judges will be drawn from a pool of well-known breeders who have
many years of experience in basenjis & each judge will be given
one element of the basenji to evaluate. The dogs in each class
will be judged according to merits of only that portion of the
breed standard. Individual dogs may be entered in multiple
classes and accumulate points based on class placements. The
more classes entered, the more opportunities a dog has to earn
additional points. After all the Elements have been judged, the
four basenjis with the highest combined scores will compete for
Best in Elements
