JOIN US FOR A BASENJI MID-SUMMER DREAM WEEKEND!
We are excited to announce that this year we have moved our Specialty
date to join the Basenji Club of Southeastern Wisconsin for a Two-Specialty Weekend at a new Showsite!
The BCOSW Specialty will be held Sunday, July 20, with Mr. Joe
Tomey judging Breed and Jr. Showmanship and Ms. Kari Wuornos-Winger
judging Puppy and Veteran Sweepstakes. A joint Premium list and
Entry form for both shows - Yeah, only one check to write and one
entry form for each dog! - will be available on this website and the
BCOSW website in April. GCBC will again hold a Best Puppy in
Classes (6-9 & 9-12 month) competition and BCOSW will have
their Best Bred-By in Classes competition.
The new showsite, Alden's Kennel, is
roomy and air-conditioned with grounds available for over-night camping
(no hook-ups) and plenty of grooming area. Alden's Kennel is
approximately 25 minutes West of our previous showsite (Lake County
Fairgrounds in Grayslake, IL), near the town of McHenry and 15 minutes
North of Crystal Lake, IL. Info on motels and restaurants will be
added to the website soon.
