The Basenji Club of Southern Nevada, located in Las Vegas, is a non-profit club dedicated to the responsible ownership and education of others regarding this unique breed. Our club is currently celebrating its 6th anniversary.

Members of the club are Basenji owners or admirers of the breed who are interested in learning more about them. We also enjoy getting to know new fans of the breed, sharing pot luck dinners, and exchanging stories, ideas and information at our monthly meetings.

Meetings are held on the last Friday of each month at members' homes, and our Basenjis are also welcome to attend most of the meetings (backyard space and weather permitting). The club's annual dues are $15 for a single membership, or $20 for a family membership.

The BCOSN sponsors or supports a number of events involving Basenjis and other dogs, such as lure coursing practices, obedience training, local and national dog shows, and the annual Clark County "Strut Your Mutt" fundraiser.

The club is also active in local and regional rescues of abandoned or unwanted Basenjis, and has helped to re-home numerous dogs over the years.

As a fundraiser to help our rescue program, we are offering T-shirts for sale for $15 (plus $3 shipping). The T-shirts display the Basenji Club of Southern Nevada's Egyptian-style club logo, and are available in all sizes and colors, in 50/50 cotton-poly or 100% cotton, with a choice of either a full-size logo or a pocket-size logo.

The BCOSN also publishes a newsletter called "Yodel Times," and has recently published a short informational brochure called "What is a Basenji?" which briefly describes some of the traits and characteristics of the breed.
